Date - 24 Nov 2023 Time - 20:00 (Doors open 19:30) Location - Weston Turville Village Hall Title - "Georgian Jewellery" Speaker – John Benjamin Entrance - £2 members, £3 visitors John is a regular (his last presentation was "The Story of Faberge" in November 2021) and popular speaker at our society. On this occasion, he will guide us through Georgian Jewellery (1714-1830). Georgian Jewellery is accessible and not consigned to museums and safe deposit boxes. It was created before the discovery of gold in California and Alaska, and diamonds in South Africa when cutting equipment was much slower and less precise. Formerly International Director of Jewellery at Phillips Fine Art Auctioneers, John Benjamin established his own independent valuation and advisory service in 1999.
