Boudica's closest approach to Weston Turville was likely during her attack on Verulamium (modern-day St Albans), just 25 miles from here. The exact location of Bodica's defeat on Watling Street is unknown, one suggestion is Arbury Banks, Hertfordshire - 52 miles away.
Join us for an enthralling evening with Don Chiswell, an experienced and captivating speaker known for his fascinating take on historical events. With over 20 years of experience, Don is renowned for debunking popular historical myths and has delighted audiences across various local groups and societies.
Don is a long-standing tutor at City College Peterborough, offering guided tours and participating in historical re-enactments.
Don't miss this chance to be transported back in time and uncover the incredible story of Boudica!
The meeting starts at 8pm in the village hall and is open to all. Entrance £2 for members and £3 visitors. Doors open at 19:30 for welcoming refreshments. For further information about the Society visit the Society’s web page www.WTHSoc.org.uk or email Secretary@WTHSoc.org.uk
